Tenerife Public Transport

There are various modes of transport at Tenerife airport such as buses that leave regularly from the airport to the central bus station in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, North Tenerife Airport (for inter-island flights), Los Cristianos (for ferries to La Palma and La Gomera) and other destinations on the island.

You can pick up a timetable from a bus stop, shops or maybe from you hotel.

Tenerife Taxi

Taxis can be recognized by a green light in the windscreen or on a white roof and an official plate with the letters SP (servicio público - public service).

Main taxi ranks will display fixed prices for the popular destinations. Taxis can also be hired for sightseeing, with most offering pre-planned tours. These tours start at about 80 euros for half a day.

Usually, you will pay 1 euro when the taxi turns its meter on and after that 30 centimes a km. If you are travelling between 10pm and 6am, on Sundays or holidays, you will pay a surcharge of 33 centimes for each piece of luggage carried.
