Tenerife Las Americas

This resort is made for those seeking an active holiday, both day and night. Playa de las Americas has a nice beach, with no shortage of hotel-apartments, bars, disco’s and shops running along side it.

There are alot of English pubs and restaurants catering for the large quantity of British tourists who holiday here. The nights are very lively, with people partying until dawn.

Things to do in the area include diving, deep-sea fishing, boat hire for the day or whale watching.

Tenerife Los Cristianos

Los Cristianos is a fraction quieter than Las Americas and has a little more Canarian flair to it but is very much the tourist resort all the same.

An interesting diversion from the beach is a visit to Parque Ecológico las Aguilas del Teide, which is about 3km from Los Cristianos. Here you can watch eagles flying low to catch their prey and there is an assortment of different animals such as crocodiles and hippopotamus.

Other attractions are Submarine Adventure in Puerto Colón, Atlantico Gardens banana grove, Aquario Atlántico, camel trekking and Aquapark.

Most have free transportation to and from the parks.

Tenerife Costa Adeje

Costa Adeje boasts excellent beaches, of which some have been awarded the Blue Flag distinction. Along this coastline you can find a wide range of water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, submarinism and game fishing as well as golf and paragliding.

The town of Adeje has an interesting historic quarter, where one can see the architectural reminents of colonialism. Places worth a visit are Casa Fuerte, the church of San Ursula, Museum of Religious Art and the Granero, all of which give you an insight into the history and traditional architecture of the Canary islands.
